Built from a story
that needed to be told.
Afterwords was created by Pria Nijhar after she lost her grandparents. In the weeks that followed, she found herself thinking about all the questions she never asked. What was their childhood like? What shaped them? What were the moments that defined who they became?
She had always assumed there would be more time. There wasn't.

What she missed most was their voices. Not just what they might have said, but the way they would have said it. She imagined what it would mean to watch them speak about their lives, to hear them describe where they grew up and what they had lived through.
When we are younger, we are often distracted. We do not always know what to ask. We do not realise how much of a person's life exists outside of the time we shared with them. Stories and memories can quietly disappear across generations without anyone meaning for them to.

Afterwords was built to change that. It gives people a simple way to record video reflections about their lives, their memories, and the lessons they want to pass forward. So that one day, children and grandchildren can sit down and hear the stories that shaped their family. In their own words. In their own voice.
